Endless cycling in Mallorca

Mallorca = cycling. This island is made for cycling. Beautiful and calm roads, climbs that are not too steep, nice climate, lots of variation in routes, really a perfect destination. Next year we will offer our first guided cycling week in Mallorca, the Mallorca Cycling Challenge. Same quality as our Cycling Challenges in Bormio (Stelvio) or at the Mont Ventoux. Excellent catering and professional guidances en route.

During the Mallorca Cycling Challenge you will stay in a luxurious villa (Finca Son Flora). It has nice bedrooms, very big garden, huge terrace and it’s own private pool to chill and relax after a hard day on the bike. We will take care of the catering, offering you a continental breakfast and 3-course dinners. You will share this villa with the other cyclists.

The accommodation and catering

Finca Son Flora has 7 2-persons bedrooms. All of the rooms have single beds. There are a total of 3 shared bathrooms. Our own Chalet Beyond catering staff will take care of the meals. Breakfast and 3-course dinner. Also we will have some nice and healthy treats during the day. Lunch is at your own costs.

Own bike or bike hire?

Nothing beats your own bike, that’s a fact. But we have really good experiences with bike hire in Mallorca. Costs are not even that much higher than bringing your bike in by plane. Bikes are of good quality (Shimano Ultegra of Shimano 105) and will be delivered at the accommodation. Est. costs: €150,- per week.

Cycling guidance

During the Mallorca Cycling Challenges we have professional cycling guides. They will give you tips and tricks and will remain with the group during each cycling trip. On flat roads we remain together as a group, but uphill it’s riding on your own tempo.

Week or weekend?

You can choose your stay. We offer you the choice, 7 nights or 4 nights. If you haven’t got enough time for the whole week, you are free to come for a weekend. We will still have enough time to explore the island by bike!

Training or holiday?

You can see this week/weekend as a training trip for your bigger goal (The Marmotte) for example. But off course it’s also nice as a cycling holiday!

Cycling programma

Mallorca is a paradise for cycling training. It has enough flat roads but also some nice mountains and all in quiet areas and breathtaking landscapes. Most climbs are not to steep and long, therefore they are perfect for longer routes. Take a look at the area aroud Mallorca to find our more about routes and profiles.

FAQ

  • Houden jullie rekening met allergieën- en dieetwensen?

    Wij houden uiteraard rekening met vegetariërs, verder kan de keuken ook glutenvrije diners verzorgen. Geef wel van tevoren even door wat je niet kan/mag eten.

  • Ben je verplicht om deel te nemen aan de trainingen?

    Nee zeker niet, maar geef het wel even aan of je mee gaat of niet.

  • Kan ik ook korter trainen dan het programma aangeeft?

    Dat kan. De meeste ritten kunnen ingekort worden. Of de trainer legt de route uit, of hij fietst met jou mee terug

  • Ben ik verplicht om het groepstempo te rijden?

    Op het vlakke rijden we meestal in een groep, dan ontstaan er vaak 2 snelheidsgroepen. Op de klim bepaal je je eigen tempo al dan niet op basis van de geadviseerde trainingsintensiteiten

  • Organiseren jullie ook de reis?

    Nee dat doen we niet, je boekt zelf je vlucht. De pendel vanaf het vliegveld wordt wel door ons verzorgd. Wij adviseren te vliegen met Transavia of Ryan Air.
