Ski area Via Lattea

Via Lattea is located on the border between Italy and France. 400 kilometers of slopes and 91 ski lifts make this a great location for your next winter holiday. Most slopes are located in Italy, Sestriere being the most central skistation of this part. A smaller part is located in France, with Montgenevre in the middle. The Sestriere skiresort hosted part of the Turin Olympics in 2006. There are still a few Olympic slopes in this ski resort. There are wide slopes, centrally located, and well prepared. We can actually say this about the entire ski resort.

Snow conditions

Snow conditions are usually good because of the good meteorological location. Either great conditions in the French part or the Italian part.. maybe even in both. There are 78 lifts that range from an altitude of 1,350 meter to 2,850 meter at Mount Frèteve.

Slopes

The slopes are wide and well prepared. The ski resort is suitable for advanced skiers, but there are also enough options for beginners. After one or two days of practice there are many ways to go. Also off piste lovers will enjoy Sauze d’Oulx. We do advise you to go out with a local guide. If you need help finding a good guide, please let us know.

Skiing in Italy = good food

La vita di ski Italia è bella. Life in Italy is good. Skiing in Italy is fantastic, but the Italian gastronomy makes it even better. The food is superb but still affordable. An espresso in a mountain restaurant for €1,- and pizza for about €8,-. And nothing beats the taste of pizza in Italy. Enjoy the good life!
