Hotel Funivia in Bormio is a true paradise for cyclists. Whether you’re a road biker, mountain biker, or gravel rider, cyclists are king here. The entire concept has been carefully thought out by owners Elisa and Daniele. Daniele is also an avid cyclist himself; his nickname, “Stelvio Man,” is no coincidence.

The rooms are spacious, have excellent single beds, and offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. There’s an extensive wellness center (with a sauna and swimming pool) and a large sun terrace at the rear. Groups (15 people or more) can opt for half-board. Individual guests stay on a bed and breakfast basis and can choose from the à la carte menu in the restaurant. You can also walk to the town center (800m) for delicious wood-fired pizza.

Bike Service

Of course, there’s a locked bike storage area, which is included in the stay for everyone. If you’re a cyclist looking for even more service and convenience, you can opt for the “bike package.” This includes a shoe drying service, laundry service, packed lunch, afternoon snack, route book, and all the insider tips and tricks from the local hero (hotel manager Daniele).
