Area information Mont Ventoux
The Mont Ventoux region is af course known for its famous mountain. This mythical mountain can be climbed from three different sides. The climb from the village Bedoin is the best known, which is also known as the hardest one. The climb from Sault is the longest climb and therefore the easiest. This climb ends with the famous 6 kilometers so named “moon landscape”.
A lot of people are to focussed on the Mont Ventoux and they forget to cycle all the other beautifull roads in the area. The roads around the mountain are not as steep and therefore perfect for longer cycling trips. You’ll pass through gorges, vineyards, lovely old villages and of course beautifull views of the typical Provence landscape.
